He played in his fort all morning either pretending to sleep or with his cars. I even had to buy a ticket to get in. (Elmo kitchen money). Too cute, we have so much fun during the day.

Success!!

It was like a light went off and he just thought why in the world am I still wearing a diaper. After lunch on Monday of last week we had a potty day where we taught his baby to potty. He really enjoyed bossing the doll around. Then on Tuesday we woke up and started Hudson's potty day. We had a pretty rough go of it until nap time and then we put a pull up on him. After nap he woke up dry and we rushed to the potty. We put back on the big boy pants and we didn't have an accident all day. Then amazingly for the next two days no accidents! It has to be his idea to go but now after a little over a week he can hold it long enough to get home from Best Buy with no problems. The only accidents we have had have not been getting to the potty, but once we are on the spray issue becomes a factor. It is so different having a boy to train, I remember my sisters being potty trained and that was definitely not an issue. Well so everything about Hudson has been a lot easier than I thought it would be (taking away the pacifier, potty training). Now if we can just get out to the two's, that would be great.

POTTY TRAINING

Potty Training is quite possibly the hardest thing I have ever done. And I have taken and passed Anatomy and Physiology at ASU! That will tell you something about my stubborn 2 year old. Pray for me.

I had such a good time in Odessa. I always enjoy going back home with all the familiar sights and foods. I think I ate Taco Villa three times. Stephanie had a really great shower and a lot of people came to supoort her and Wes. My aunt also brought Hudson his little tux for the wedding, I can't wait for him to try it on. That just leaves one more shower and the wedding and then we can all breathe a little easier. My sister Angela was a big help as usual, she is always there to tote Hudson and I around and plan showers and anything else that needs to be done. Love you Angie FooFoo. We got to see Amy and Alex very briefly while we were there. We exchanged christmas presents and they got to hear how talkative Hudson is.=) We need to do that more often I really miss them. Amy made me the coolest cement stepping stone. You should see it, it has an H on the front and she managed to incorporate a fleur de Lis in the H. Amazing! I will have to take a pic and post it later. Now we get a little two week break before Houston and it is needed.

Family...

You know I sometimes get mad at my family for the little things (not being on time, being a little sloppy,etc.). And by family I mean my mom and sisters, but I realized something this weekend, that no matter their faults (and they are probably more mine than theirs) at least they are always there for me. They are the only ones that came to my jewelry party this weekend. Sad I know. I felt like I could cry for a while and then I thought why don't I just enjoy the people that did come and support me. Anyway I know people have reasons for not being able to make it. I understand, I really do, but 30 invites later I am left feeling grateful for family. Now onto more family adventures with a wedding shower for my lovely sister Stephanie. :)

Parties, Showers, Sprinkles...Oh My!!

I feel like I might not be able to breathe for the next five months. Yes five months. January is a jewelry party on the 16th(anyone who wants to come it is at 7 at my house) then a wedding shower in Odessa on the 23rd which I am a hostess for. Then in February I have a lingerie shower for Stephanie on the 20th. We also have to travel to Houston on the 12th to visit Aaron's grandparents that will be down from North Dakota. Then on March 12th is steph's wedding which i am helping set up and I am a bridesmaid and Hudson is the ring bearer ( too cute). The next weekend is Kendra's baby sprinkle and I have to get everything set up at the pottery ranch for that. I am excited for the pottery ranch though it should be different and fun! I get somewhat of a break in April except that Kendra thinks that maybe this baby will come a little early (late April) and I might have McKenzie more often to watch (which Hudson and I love). If not then the new baby should be here May 5. I am so excited, new little ones are so fun. Some where in all that mess I plan on helping Kendra paint and decorate the nursery! With so much going on I feel like I should take a long vacation in July....
