It's been a while

He loves his sister, when she isn't crying.







Since she is in the craddle beside our bed we have to shut Rocky out just in case he was to get inside the craddle with her. So Rocky found a new sleeping buddy. Hudson loves when Rocky sleeps with him at night and nap time.



This is Lauren at 2 1/2 months old. She is getting so big so fast!
If anyone still reads this then I am sorry that it has been so long since I wrote on here. It has taken a little adjustment getting used to having two kids. It's figuring out the logistics of it all, where do you put the first one out of the car while you get the other one out. Where do the groceries go in the cart if the car seat is up front and the older child is in the cart taking up all the space. That sort of thing.
Anyway here are some pictures of the kiddos and whats been going on lately.

Nap!!

I don't know what I did to deserve it but I managed to have both kids asleep at the same time for an entire hour!! That may not sound to amazing to some people but to me this is the first time that has ever happened and I was told that in the first year it wouldn't happen very often. Yay me! This is what my posts have been reduced to nap time talk. oh well I am a mom of two now. Love it!

Random thoughts...

We had such a great baby shower/ thanksgiving last week. We left on Thursday (Nov. 18) and drove to San Angelo and dropped off Kendra and the kids at her sisters house. After staying the night in SA we got up early and finished the drive to Odessa. On Saturday Hudson and I met Brad and Barb at their favorite Midland restaurant (Murray's) before the baby shower. The shower started at 2pm and was a blast. I got so many things, I was worried about Lauren not having enough clothes but obviously people like to buy baby girl clothes. We got so many nice things and would like to say a big thank you to all the hostesses. Hudson and I stayed in Odessa while Brad and Barb took all the baby stuff back through Austin. We stayed there until Wednesday when we drove to Dallas for Thanksgiving. Aaron met us there and we had a wonderful holiday with all of my family. We drove back late Thursday night and felt relieved to finally be home. Being 37 weeks along it was a little stressful being away for so long but so worth it. We are home now and I am not allowed to leave now since I am so close now. I have one more doctors appt. on the 9th and then we will be induced on the 15th if she doesn't come before then. Can't wait to meet her!

christmas

I am so excited about Christmas. For obvious reasons yes, I can't wait to meet our new little one. Hudson is actually starting to get excited about the baby. He now asks if she can come now all the time. We will see if he is as excited after she cries for a while. hehe I plan to have all the christmas decorations and shopping done by the 4th so I can enjoy every moment with her and Hudson and Aaron and not worry about the tree and shopping.

On a random note I just ate a big dill pickle and hot tamales. I was instantly taken back to high school and enjoyed every moment of it.aaaaahhhhh

Busy, Busy

Well now that we are officially moved in I have to start on all my projects. I like to stay busy and don't stress out to much so I am kinda glad to be doing creative things now. I made Hudson's birthday invitations, now I am in the process of cutting out the pattern for Hudson's Halloween costume (he is going to be the cutest elephant ever), I have to paint the babies room pink with lighter pink stencil on the wall behind the bed, try to find the right shade of yellow for Hudson's room, paint his room, go to baby showers, thanksgiving, and then get ready for the new baby.Whew it seems like a lot but it should be fun to see it all come together.

Pflugerville, Texas

Well it is official we are finally moved in in Austin. Pflugerville to be exact, and we really love it. There are so many things to do and learn. We are in the process of getting the house in order (which is going to take a while). We also got a new washing machine and dryer courtesy of Brad and Barb. It is one of those fancy front load sets and it is very cool. It takes longer to wash but you can put twice as much in the machine. Very cool.

Went to the doctor for the first time here in Austin and asked her to confirm that it is a girl and she said she definately thought it is a girl. Yes! Just wanted to be sure before I paint the room.
